Vegas mornings can be rough, and the burnt drip coffee at the casino café is not the answer. The good news: the city’s independent coffee scene has quietly gotten excellent.
Two worlds of Vegas coffee
- On the Strip: a handful of resorts now host serious third-wave cafés — proper espresso, single-origin pour-overs, the works. You’ll pay resort prices, but the quality is real.
- Off the Strip & downtown: this is where the roasters live. The Arts District in particular is packed with independent shops worth a rideshare.
Our morning-after order
A double cortado and a big glass of water, ideally somewhere with a patio so the desert sun can do its healing work. If we’re moving slow, an iced latte for the walk.
Skip the lobby drip. Fifteen minutes and a short ride will get you a cup that actually fixes the morning.
