Everyone knows the Strip can drain a wallet at dinner. What fewer people realize is how much genuinely great, genuinely cheap food is tucked inside the same buildings as the celebrity-chef palaces.
Where to look
- Food courts and grab-and-go counters. Nearly every resort hides a solid noodle bar, taqueria, or deli behind the flashier restaurants.
- The by-the-slice pizza windows. A Vegas institution and open absurdly late.
- Off-Strip, one block over. Step just off Las Vegas Boulevard and prices drop fast.
Our approach
We treat the Strip like a tasting menu we assemble ourselves: one splurge, and everything else kept cheap and delicious. A great bowl of noodles at midnight beats a mediocre $60 entrée every time.
Don’t let the price tags on the marquees fool you. Some of our favorite meals in this city cost less than a cocktail.
