A Guide to Vegas Pool Season

Las Vegas takes its pool season seriously. Thanks to the desert climate, the water stays a central part of the experience for a big chunk of the year – but the vibe shifts depending on when you visit.

When the Season Runs

Pool season generally stretches across the warm months, roughly spring through early fall. Exact opening and closing times vary by property, so we always check with our hotel before booking a trip built around pool time. The shoulder weeks at each end can be quieter and more relaxed.

How the Weather Plays In

The desert delivers reliable sunshine, but heat is the real variable. Peak summer brings intense afternoon temperatures, which is wonderful for cooling off in the water and demanding if you are not prepared. Spring and early fall offer warmth without the harshest edge of midsummer.

Timing Your Trip

Think about the experience you want, then time accordingly:

  • Peak summer for the fullest, liveliest pool scene
  • Spring and early fall for pleasant heat and thinner crowds
  • Weekdays for a calmer deck than the weekend rush
  • Mornings for shade and space before the crowds arrive

Whenever you go, respect the sun. Hydrate, reapply sunscreen, and pace yourself. Do that, and Vegas pool season delivers some of the most enjoyable, laid-back hours of the entire trip – no matter which month you pick.
