The strategy

  • After seeing your three cards, raise (play) with Queen-6-4 or better; fold anything worse.
  • Read Q-6-4 high-to-low: compare your top card to a Q, then your second to a 6, then your third to a 4. Equal-or-higher at the first difference → play.
  • Any pair or better always plays. Anything Jack-high or lower always folds.
  • Pair Plus and 6-Card Bonus are side bets — fun, but a much bigger edge. Bet them small or skip them.

The house edge

Playing Q-6-4 optimally, the Ante-Play house edge is about 3.4% per ante.
