A Fan's Guide to Vegas Sports

For decades Las Vegas was a sports city without teams of its own. That changed fast, and today catching a game is one of the best nights out you can have here – loud, festive, and unmistakably Vegas.

The Home Teams

The Golden Knights brought pro hockey to town and instantly won the city over, playing at T-Mobile Arena right off the Strip. The Raiders followed with the NFL, and their home at Allegiant Stadium has become a landmark in its own right. Both arenas put the action within easy reach of most hotels.

Game Night Tips

  • Buy tickets in advance for the most popular matchups
  • Arrive early to soak up the pregame atmosphere
  • Use rideshare or walk when you can, since parking fills up
  • Wear team colors to feel like part of the crowd

Beyond the Big Two

Vegas also hosts college tournaments, big-ticket boxing and mixed martial arts events, and marquee concerts in the same venues, so there is almost always something on. The Golden Knights game-night production in particular has a reputation for being one of the most entertaining in all of sports.

Our advice is simple: even if you are not a die-hard fan, treat a game as part of your trip. The energy inside these buildings is a side of Las Vegas that surprises almost everyone, and it pairs perfectly with a night on the Strip afterward.
