The strategy
- Bet the Pass Line before the come-out roll (you win on 7 or 11).
- Once a point is set, back your bet with the maximum odds and say “odds.” It’s the only wager in the building the house earns nothing on.
- Add Come bets to work more numbers — same rules, same odds.
- Odds pay by number: 4 & 10 pay 2:1, 5 & 9 pay 3:2, 6 & 8 pay 6:5.
- Prefer betting against the shooter? Don’t Pass + laying odds is a touch cheaper, but you’re rooting against the table.
The house edge
Pass line with 3-4-5× odds runs about 0.37% — one of the lowest edges anywhere. Skip the center of the table: any 7 is a brutal 16.7% edge, and hardways, prop bets, Big 6/8, and crapless craps are all traps.
