The strategy
- High card wins. On a tie, you choose to go to war (match your bet) or surrender for half.
- Always go to war. Surrendering is mathematically the worse play, every single time.
- Skip the Tie side bet — it carries a punishing ~18% edge.
The house edge
Going to war on every tie, the house edge is about 2.9%. It’s fast and fun, but there’s no skill to grind — keep bets small and treat it as entertainment.
